LBF Awards $59,000 in 2017-18 Kids' Chance Scholarships

The Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) Kids’ Chance Scholarship program is awarding $59,000 in scholarships to 20 students. Scholarships are awarded to dependent children of Louisiana workers killed or permanently and totally disabled in an accident compensable under a state or federal Workers’ Compensation Act or law. 

The 2017-18 scholarship recipients are Brittany Bailey, Deridder; Allie Dantin, Thibodaux; Mason Graham, Luling; Allana Gross, Marrero; Jessica Harper, Eros; Andre’ Hebert, Lafayette; Heather Jones, New Orleans; Katelyn Kerner, Jefferson; Grant Klentzman, New Iberia; Anna LaGrange, Breaux Bridge; Quentin LeBlanc, Paincourtville; Breanna Leleaux, Lafayette; Amanda Marler, Dry Creek; Colby Price, Belle Chasse; William Price, Bossier City; Darien Rixner, Laplace; Hallie Rogers, Patterson; Alexander Stroh, Lake Charles; Derek Trouard, Baton Rouge and Alesha Widcamp, Lake Charles.

The LBF Kids' Chance Program was started in 2004 and is administered by the LBF and governed by a committee representing a cross-section of the state's legal and workers compensation communities.

Since 2004, the LBF has awarded 275 scholarships totaling $604,600.
