LWCC Partners with LBF Kids' Chance
Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation (LWCC), hosted their inaugural speaker series at the new Foster Learning Center at the LWCC headquarters in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, December 8. This special occasion raised $43,000 and directly benefits the LBF Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program. The event featured Billy Beane, MLB executive and subject of the bestselling book and Oscar nominated film, Moneyball.
LWCC has historically supported LBF Kids’ Chance through a golf tournament. “LWCC is our longest standing partner and fundraiser for the LBF Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program,” states LBF 2021-22 President Chris Ralston, “and for that we are so grateful. When a worker is severely injured or killed on the job, it doesn’t just affect the worker – it affects their entire family. Kids’ Chance helps them reach their educational dreams. LWCC’s support has enabled us to award 322 scholarships in the amount of $794,000 since 2004.”
