During the week committee members gathered to put together care packets for the current scholarship recipients. Generous donations from law firms helped fill the boxes with supplies, snacks, gift cards and other goodies to get them through finals week.
LBF KC participated in the 2017 Workers’ Memorial Day April 28 on the steps of the state capital. Kids’ Chance recipient Quentin LeBlanc spoke at the event. Quentin is a student at LSU in Baton Rouge.
On May 5 the Louisiana Bar Foundation Kids’ Chance participated in a RIMKUS Continuing Education seminar for insurance adjusters. Our LBF KC committee volunteers are: L-R, Dan Boudreaux, Laura Borchert and Nancy Konrad.
On November 16 during a fundraiser luncheon, Governor John Bel Edwards proclaimed November 14-18, 2016 LBF Kids’ Chance Awareness Week.
