What we do
The Louisiana Bar Foundation is the single statewide funder that is fully committed to ensuring that Louisiana’s civil justice system is accessible to all. LBF has a robust network of well-established partnerships with more than 70 grantees across the state’s 64 parishes that are leading community-driven efforts to help hundreds of thousands of Louisiana residents gain access to the legal system. Through grants, we assist women, children, elderly, people with disabilities, newly unemployed, those facing loss of their homes, disaster victims, veterans and military families, and many others by providing services that go to the very heart of the health, safety, and security of many of our citizens and their families.
In addition to awarding grants, the LBF supports a variety of statewide, volunteer programs & projects and strategic partnerships that enhance our mission and objectives.
Research shows that investing in civil legal aid has a 1,799% return on investment.
